Assistant Financial Controller

The Assistant Financial Controller will manage the day to day activities of the accounting department. This is a full Time position based in Okemos, MI and reports to the VP of Finance.

• Supervises A/R, A/P, P/R personnel and transactions
• Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), and database management
• Randomly audits work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized

Digital Media Internship

Help create content and materials to increase TechSmith customer’s success through the use of a variety of media. Experience what content creation means in a leading commercial software development company. Projects will use Camtasia Studio, SnagIt and other applications to create and publish web based content for a public or internal TechSmith audience. Possible projects include creating multimedia user assistance content for TechSmith products, Localization of user assistance content for international markets and more. The HR associate manages the day-to-day operations and administration of the human resources functions and duties. New Media Specialist

• Experience using Windows Server, IIS, Linux, LDAP, SSL, IT maintenance and troubleshooting
• Knowledge with web-based applications and deployment

• Collaborate closely with software Testers, Designers and Developers on Agile product teams
• Setup and maintain a variety of server environments including:
• 1. Media Servers (Kaltura, Xythos, Drupal, etc.)
• 2. LMS Servers (BlackBoard, Moodle, Sakai, etc.)
• 3. LDAP Servers (Active Directory, OpenLDAP, eDirectory, etc.)
• 4. Protocols (FTP, sFTP, Windows File Shares)
• Be the "expert" on the systems listed above so that you can:
• 1.Work with development team to make sure the proper systems are available for developing and testing against
• 2.Assist support with customer issues related to the systems they may be running and help to make sure we can replicate those environments in house for future testing and development
• 3.Stay current on how systems are being used and make sure the team is keeping our product relevant to the current market place. Take advantage of new technologies that become available
• Establish and maintain development environment setup and best practices (Visual studio, source control, local web server setup and development test environments)
• Contribute to product design for the purposes of helping the product team understand complex hardware solution implications as well as infrastructure cost
